📢 House Elections Committee Meeting – Thursday 3/13 @ 10:30 AM
The House Elections Committee will be meeting this Thursday, March 13 at 10:30 AM. LPTexas will be speaking in support of HB 496, which would add a “None of the Above” option to ballots—a step forward for voter choice and expression.

We are not opposed to any of the other bills being considered in this meeting. Here’s a quick look at what’s on the agenda:

• HB 496 – Adds a “None of the Above” ballot option.
• HB 640 – Sets office hours for election authorities during election periods.

• HB 677 – Defines restrictions on political activity for county elections administrators.
• HB 952 – Adds electronic coding to identify mail-in early voting ballots.
